Trust Design Workshops

Trust Design runs workshops to create hands-on opportunities for participants to explore the relationship between trust and design and to work with components of trust in their design thinking. Workshops begin with a presentation by Trust Design Project Director Scott Burnham overviewing his research and insights into the mechanics of trust in a design context while asking participants to think about trust.

Most recently, Scott Burnham led students from Los Angeles's Otis College of Art and Design and Amsterdam's Sandberg Institute to investigate trust as a design functionality and a new design value. The students investigated their own notions of trust within design, then began devising design approaches to increase consumers' understanding and trust in design.
